Sohail Khan

Sohail Khan is a seasoned business executive in high technology firms with wide ranging experience. He raised $1 billion in funding in 2023 and established “SiC LLC,” a subsidiary of Coherent Corp., through strategic partnerships with Denso and Mitsubishi, leaders in the automotive and industrial markets. While at Coherent, Sohail formed those strategic partnerships to expedite the corporation's technology roadmap and secure the necessary investments to compete with established Integrated Device Manufacturers. Along with his time as President of SiC, LLC, at Coherent, he most recently served as Executive Vice President, Wideband Gap Electronics. He was a member of the Board of Directors of LightPath Technologies for 16 years, Managing Partner of K5 Innovations LLC, and President & CEO of ViXS Systems Inc., a global fabless semiconductor company, and member of the Board of Intersil Corporation. Experienced in Corporate Governance, Sohail has served on the Audit, Compensation and Finance committees of several private and public company boards. A strong leader with a track record of anticipating and developing new technologies, Sohail has extensive M&A experience, having negotiated sale or purchase of multiple companies as CEO and Head of Strategy at Agere Systems.
