Invitation to Present Two POET Papers at SPIE Conference in California
Shelton, CT and Toronto, ON, August 16, 2011 – OPEL Solar International Inc. (“OPEL” or “the
Company”) announced today that its wholly-owned U.S. affiliate company, ODIS Inc. (“OPEL Defense
Integrated Systems”) will present two papers on the Planar Optoelectronic Technology (“POET”) at the
SPIE Optics and Photonics Conference to be held August 21-25 in San Diego, California. SPIE is the
international society for optics and photonics to advance light-based technologies. The society advances
emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, continuing education, publications,
patent precedent, and career and professional growth. Dr. Geoffrey Taylor, Chief Scientist at ODIS, and
